Dr. Jyotsnarani Jena is a researcher with profound experience in environmental microbiology and wastewater treatment. Her doctoral research at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research was focused on biological nutrient removal from high-strength industrial effluent, building her expertise in biological wastewater treatment and management.
During her tenure as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Jadavpur University, she led pioneering initiatives aimed at advancing nature-based sustainable wastewater treatment technologies. Preceding this role, she served as a Research Associate at the CSIR – National Chemical Laboratory, where she played a pivotal role in the development of diverse tools and processes for water and wastewater treatment. Her research endeavors were supported by distinguished national and international organizations including, CSIR, UGC, and NFP by The Gov. of the Netherlands.
Throughout her extensive research career, she has authored several book chapters and well-cited peer-reviewed research articles. She is adaptive to new learning and brings diverse skill sets such as communication, networking, and project management. This will help her understand cutting-edge technologies and facilitate their transfer from nascent stages to the marketplace. She is keenly interested in collaborating with academia, industry partners, and other stakeholders to bring a positive transformation in the realm of technology transfer, ultimately benefiting society at large.
